Magic Time Machine Restaurant is a total joke ... but in a good way! If you are looking for a dining experience full of whimsy, laughs, and, shall we we say, unique seating arrangements, this is one to add to your bucket list. Adults and kids alike love the themed wait staff, who not only look like but act out their characters. And the salad bar alone is almost worth the trip!

Magic Time Machine is located at 5003 Beltline Road, Dallas, near the North Dallas Tollway.

It is open on evenings Monday - Friday, but lunch and dinner are offered on weekends.

You never know who will greet you at the door.

Employees choose their alter-egos and stay in character throughout the meal.

No two dining areas are like.

Pac-Man for two, anyone?

The Crayola seating area is popular with kids.

Or you can dine in a space shuttle, boardroom, school bus, or many other themed areas such as this mail box.

It's obvious that employees love working here.

It's like Halloween every day!

Don't skip on the ol' fashioned salad "car."

Many restaurants have forgone the salad bar, and reviewers often comment that Magic Time Machine's car-bar is the favorite part of their meal.

It's fun to watch the characters interact with one another.

You can only guess what happens when Captain Jack Sparrow meets up with Alice in Wonderland and Snow White.

Drink concoctions are part of the fun.

It’s not all for the kiddos, as there are plenty great options for alcohol, and specialties include magic potions and house specialties. You can even ask for an "ugly" potion.

Go ahead. Play with your food!

The restaurant's specialty of the House is the Roman Orgy. This fare is brought out with great fanfare and song, so don't order if you are hoping for a quiet, discreet dining experience.

Fried favorite is a beloved lunch specialty.

The steaks get the thumbs up from patrons.

The desserts are enchanting!

Huge portions complete with epic presentations are to be expected here. Crowd favorites are the banana split monstrosity and the bread pudding.

Kids absolutely love it here.

The young and young-at-heart alike agree this place is definitely more fun than a typical restaurant dinner.

Upstairs has another element of fun.

A kid-friendly arcade awaits.

Kids can round out their experience with a visit to the arcade. No kids? No problem. Head to the bar area instead!
