Tucked away in the historic Junius Heights neighborhood of Dallas, Garden Cafe has been a local institution since 2002.

Judging by its façade alone, the restaurant doesn't look like anything special - but the patio tells a whole different story.

A vine-wrapped trellis leads through the cafe's very own backyard garden, brimming with herbs and vegetables used in many of the dishes.

On nice days, the partially-covered outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a meal among friends.

Surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of nature, you'll be transported to a place far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There is also an indoor dining room complete with a full bar!

As for the menu, it features a little bit of everything, with freshness and quality being the overarching themes.

For dinner, enjoy a hearty steak and glass of vino, or something lighter such as a salad or fresh fish.

Brunch is served every day from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The selections rotate, but you'll typically see things like omelets, eggs benedict, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes or waffles.
