Surf Your Way Into The Holiday Season At Theses Christmas Tiki Bars In Texas
Sippin' Santa is a Christmas-themed tiki bar pop-up coming to six locations in Texas, blending holiday and island décor.
This year, Santa has decided to skip Christmas and jet off to a tropical paradise instead. Luckily, that island happens to be right here in Texas! Renowned cocktail personality Jeff "Beachbum" Berry and award-winning bartender Brad Smith have joined forces to create Sippin' Santa. This seasonal pop-up - a companion to the ever-popular Miracle - features a combination of holiday and island décor, and it's coming to six bars in the Lone Star State. Come along as we show you why a Christmas tiki bar in Texas must be on your holdiay wish list! We think you'll agree they are among the best bars in Texas.
Hop on your surfboard and ride the waves into the holiday season at Sippin’ Santa, a Christmas-themed tiki bar with dozens of locations across the U.S.
The pop-up is coming to six bars right here in Texas: Nickel City in Austin, Nickel City in Houston, Hide Bar in Dallas, The Tiki Room in El Paso, The Down 'N Out in Fort Worth, and Hugman's Oasis in San Antnio. Whichever of these Texas cities you happen to be in, go and find the appropriate tiki pop-up!
Upon stepping inside, you'll be immediately transported into a winter wonderland - with an island twist.
Santa Claus has traded out his usual fur-trimmed getup for a Hawaiian shirt, straw hat, and sandals, and he's ready to lounge on the beach with a cocktail in hand.
Much like Miracle, Sippin' Santa boasts a hodgepodge of over-the-top holiday lights and decorations.
Any of it would give Clark Griswold fro the classic movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" a run for his money! Think tiki torches, snowmen, reindeer, and colorful umbrellas.
The cocktails offer a unique blend of festive and tropical flavors, and it will be love at first sip for your taste buds.
Pictured here is the "Parrot in a Pear Tree," with Blanco tequila, applejack, pear liqueur, lime, cinnamon, falernum, and black walnut bitters. Bonus points for the seasonally appropriate name! Now can you see why we think these pop-ups are among the best bars in Texas?
Other fan-favorite libations include "Rum Rum Rudolph," which features a shot of both overproof and pineapple rums plus coffee liqueur, and the "Kaloka Colada," a rum and pumpkin-spiced coconut cream drink.
Whether you choose to imbibe or simply take in the scenery, a trip to this Christmas island (there are islands off the coast of Texas, afterall) of sorts will surely put you in the holiday spirit.
