I'm always up for a good dessert, and everyone knows the best places are small local joints whose bakers pour their heart and soul into each item. Red Dessert Dive in Houston is one such place, and not only are the sweets out of this world taste-wise, but they're also some of the most interesting concoctions I've ever seen. From chocolate croissant bread pudding to a brownie and M&Ms cookie smashed together, you can't go wrong with whatever you decide on.
Red is an eclectic bakery in the heart of Houston's historic heights neighborhood that locals can't get enough of.
The owner, Jessica, has traveled the world to obtain as much knowledge about baking as possible - and believe me, her expertise definitely shows in the desserts.
On the menu, you'll find unique offerings like chocolate bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce...
...their signature "Debusker," which is a fudge brownie topped with an m&m cookie...
...huge, decadent slices of lemon blueberry cake (and tons more flavors!)...
...and more run-of-the-mill (but still delicious) options like turtle cheesecake.
Red is located at 1045 Studewood St, Houston, TX 77008. More information about their hours as well as a full menu can be found on their website.
And in case your sweet tooth isn't cured just yet, here are some more epic desserts in Texas.
Have you ever been to Red? What's your favorite bakery in Texas?
