Saffire Restaurant and Bar in Franklin has long been a staple of the Nashville food scene. For 16 years, it has been serving up some of the best classic American food that the city has to offer, but they recently announced that they will soon be closing their doors. Thankfully, we have until the end of the year to go back for one more meal (or ten). Whether you're a long-time customer or you've never been, be sure to head down to Saffire soon before you can't any more!
Saffire Restaurant and Bar has been a staple in the Factory at Franklin for 16 years, but not for much longer.
The restaurant is closing its doors on New Year's Day in 2018 and is expected to be replaced by Mojo's Tacos later that Spring.
Saffire only serves locally grown produce and meats, so you know that every meal is as fresh as it can be.
The restaurant has long been known for their modern and creative takes on classic Americana food like Fish and Grits and Chicken Fried Chicken.
Probably their best meal is their brunch, and their short rib casserole is famous. Made with stone-ground grits, burnt-ends, crispy onions, and a sunny-side-up egg, it's absolutely to die for.
For the long-time fans of Saffire, don't worry -- they're still planning on hosting their annual Christmas and New Year's Eve parties just like always.
The owners of Saffire also own the Loveless Cafe, Southern Steak & Oyster, Acme Feed & Seend, and Fin & Pearl, so if you don't make it to Saffire before they close, you can still try their amazing food elsewhere.
They're open for lunch and dinner every day except Monday. Check out their website for more information. You can find them at The Factory at 230 Franklin Road.
We're sad to see Saffire go, but here's one restaurant in Nashville that doesn't look like it's going away any time soon.
