A warm Pennsylvania day holds so many possibilities. We can go for a leisurely picnic at a neighborhood park, embark on a picturesque hike, or stop by this charming winery overlooking a tranquil pond. It’s perfect any time of the year; however, you’ll want to stop by on a warm day, too, so you can spend time outdoors.
Nestled in a historic farmhouse and barn, Three Hammers Winery in Hawley has become a favorite stop for wine connoisseurs for both its artisan wine and enchanting atmosphere.
Founded and run by Rob and Kristina, a husband-wife duo, the winery offers a unique blend of offerings, created by “using both French and West Coast styles of winemaking.”
A warm day pairs particularly well with the outdoor activities available at the winery. Explore the 15 acres on one of the scenic hiking trails, or relax on a pond-side bench with a glass of wine as you admire the views.
Speaking of wine, you have a few options when it comes to tastings. The testing counter offers wine tasting for groups of between two and four guests every 20 minutes. Try up to four different wines during the 10-minute tasting experience.
Or you – and up to three others – can stop by the barrel tasting room. That experience lasts 45 minutes, and you’ll also sample up to four wines. You can make reservations for both wine tasting experiences online.
For a one-of-a-kind adventure, join one of the new wine walks. The new spring-summer event will feature history about the property as you explore and, of course, wine tastings.
Bring an appetite with you, too, and visit the Farmhouse Speakeasy. There, you can indulge in a delicious bite to eat, coupled perfectly with wine.
