This Fabulous Italian Restaurant In Oregon Has The Best Outdoor Dining In Winter

Wishing for a fabulous Italian restaurant in Oregon where you can dine outside in the cold and rainy winter months? Try Montelupo Italian Market, which serves amazing food in a heated tent. You can also dine inside, but if you're in the mood for outside dining, where's the fun in that? (Actually, the inside space is quite lovely, too!)

Montelupo opened in July 2020 and has thrived in its NE 28th Avenue location. The small market cafe is augmented by the large covered street dining area.

I've had two fantastic meals at this chic spot—and look forward to having another in the near future.

The huge covered seating area is warm, comfortable, sleek, and just right on a cool night.

Montelupo has another outpost on SE Bybee Boulevard in Sellwood, specializing in Roman-style pizzas and focaccia bread.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, including outstanding pastas and salads.

The menu changes regularly but some standouts include the fabulous burrata salad, beef and pork bolognese, and ricotta cavatelli with lemon braised chicken.

But everything is outstanding!

Inside the restaurant, you'll find seating for up to five guests at a table and a shop full of delicious Italian delicacies.

Whether you sit inside or out, check out the Montelupo market for a range of gourmet Italian food products like premium olive oil, burrata, and tomato sauce.

Don't forget to try one of their delicious desserts. My favorite is the olive oil cake!

Montelupo also sports a full bar and makes fantastic cocktails. The wine selection is great, too.

Check out their menu and other restaurant information on the Montelupo Italian Market website. Leave a comment to let us know how you enjoyed your meal at Montelupe—and to share any other delicious restaurants you know with great outdoor seating we should try!
