There's nothing terribly exciting about filling your tank with gas (other than the thrill of watching your bank account become a little lighter in just minutes...), but if you're lucky enough to need a fill-up when you're in the coastal town of Seaside, you're in for a special treat. There's a delicious bakery hiding inside this little gas station!
The next time you find yourself needing to fuel up the car along the northern coast, stop in at Bakers General Store & Bakery.
It's located at 44573 Highway 26 in Seaside and it has a delicious surprise inside.
From the moment you walk up to the entrance, you'll realize that this isn't a typical convenience store/gas station.
The front porch is graced with benches and planters filled with colorful blooms.
When you step inside, you'll see a typical convenience store with candy, sodas, chips, and more, but this place certainly doesn't smell like a regular store. What is that wonderful aroma?
It's the fresh-baked pastries, donuts, cookies, cakes, pies, and bread! The bakery case is full of tastebud-tempting treats.
These treats aren't shipped in and unpacked from a box - they're baked fresh right on-site, every day.
Why would you buy a packaged treat full of preservatives when you can have a freshly-baked, beautifully-decorated cupcake?
You'll want to grab a loaf of homemade bread or some rolls to take with you.
You can even have a custom birthday cake made here!
If you're hungry for some lunch, you've come to the right place. Try one of the hand-tossed pizzas or get a custom-made sandwich made with some of that delicious, homemade bread.
Bakers General Store and Bakery is open every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Stop in for some gas, incredible bakery items, and friendly service.
For more information, check out Bakers General Store & Bakery on its Facebook page.
