1. No Bull Smokehouse - Fargo

If you're a fan of beef, this isn't the place for you. When they say 'No Bull,' they mean it! This restaurant serves pretty much every type of meat and side imaginable except beef. Their chicken is an excellent choice, but so is their smoked pork and just about everything else. It is a truly unique place the likes of which you won't find anywhere else. No Bull Smokehouse is 100% one of the best restaurants in ND just waiting for your visit. Personally, we're obsessed with good steak - so count us in.

2. The Red Eye Room - Bismarck

This place lets you get a variety of food in small portions. There is no need to have to think about what you're ordering like it's a written contract here. Get a variety of small plates and try it all! Their food is scrumptious and you'll love every bite and wish there was more, but there are always other plates to try. And with their extensive menu, you'll have tons of plates to taste. It's a little something different to make your evening special. The Red Eye Room was formerly known as Humpback Sally's. 3. Whirl-A-Whip Soda Fountain at the Dakota Drug Co - Stanley

This classic soda fountain has an extensive amount of ice cream flavors that will completely overwhelm you. You can mix your perfect dairy treat, called a Whirl-a-Whip, with their many toppings, add-ons, and crazy additions. We're talking dill pickle ice cream crazy - yes, they serve that! It is part of the Dakota Drug store and really adds an old time feel to the place, making for a fun stop with a chilly, sweet bonus. This is the only Whirl-A-Whip shop left in North Dakota, which makes it extra special.

4. The Boiler Room - Fargo

Head underneath one of Fargo's historic downtown buildings to this uniquely themed restaurant that will not only wow you with the decor, but will also blow you away with their food. Everything tastes good here and it'll be hard to stop yourself from devouring it all in a few bites. Their food is definitely top notch and offers a variety that you won't find in any of the usual chain sit-down restaurants. The perfect food and interesting atmosphere will certainly make for a great meal out. This is easily one of the most unique dining experiences in North Dakota!

5. The Wurst Shop - Dickinson

It's hard to find a restaurant that serves authentic bratwurst in any combination you like. In fact, it's pretty much impossible, except in Dickinson. The Wurst Shop in Dickinson will make your brats to order with a huge variety of toppings and a delicious result every time. They have an array of bratwurst to choose from, too. And if you love it enough, you can take some home to put on the grill yourself. Trust us - you will want to after you taste these! If you're looking for the best bratwurst in North Dakota, you're in the right place.

6. Rockin' Relics - Rugby

Rockin' Relics is a combination soda fountain, diner, and antique store, giving you the perfect nostalgic atmosphere while enjoying some delicious home cooked food. Their themed store is a delightful way to enjoy experiencing what it was like eating at a soda fountain back in the day. They serve such a variety of food and daily specials that you'll want to check in again and again just to see what good stuff they're making every day.
