Here in the Empire State, we are well-known for our luxurious resorts. After all, the Adirondack lodges of old were some of the first famous vacation destinations in the United States. Whether you're looking to escape to the mountains, the beach, or the Finger Lakes region, there are plenty of great resorts to choose from. One of our favorites is High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid. Out of all the resorts in New York, it has some of the best restaurants. With three great eateries and a bar to choose from, you'll certainly never go hungry here! Check out the great options for food:
No matter the season, High Peaks is a great option when looking for an inclusive resort. It isn't too far from Main Street and offers a ton: a gym, multiple pools, lake access, and, of course, restaurants.
One of the most popular options for dining at High Peaks Resort is Dancing Bears Restaurant.
The interior is decorated in typical Adirondack style, and you'll enjoy fantastic views of the beautiful Mirror Lake.
It offers up breakfast, lunch, and dinner, mostly concentrating on American fare like hamburgers.
The Bar at Lake House is more bar than restaurant, but you will find a menu featuring various snacks and bar foods.
It's right next door to the Lake House Great Room, a comfortable sitting area where you can cozy up by a fire or lounge around with a book.
The Den is a bit smaller than Dancing Bears or The Bar. It's tucked away in the hotel lobby and serves up food and drink.
The DeckThose aren't the only options you have at High Peaks Resort, though! The Deck is an outdoor restaurant with amazing views that is open seasonally.
Eating al fresco while surrounded by Mirror Lake and the Adirondack Mountains is a magical experience!
