One might think that a buffet and mouth-watering steak are an oxymoron, but at Churrascaria Plataforma Steakhouse, “meat runners” ensure that the delicious meat options stay in rotation with ease. At this steakhouse nestled in midtown Manhattan, serving an abundance of well-seasoned meat and steak is the norm. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Brunch or the Dinner Experience; the service is top-tier, and the food is flavorful. The meat is exclusively Sterling Silver premium beef, and the dishes range from beef to lamb. 

At Churrascaria Plataforma Steakhouse, the food is served Churrasco style, and unlimited grilled meats are brought to your table. While there’s a buffet element, the meat is carved right there at your table. There’s also a “Gourmet Island” set up buffet style, and it features seafood, hot dishes, savory vegetables, different types of salads, and more. The steak cuts include: Picanha, Alcatra, Fraldinha, and Picanha com alho. My personal favorite is the Lamb Picahna, and for sides, I love the mashed potatoes, as well as the caramelized bananas. There’s something for everyone. Kids eat at a reduced price, but the menu doesn’t change much for them. In all transparency, this restaurant is for the grown and sexy. The brunch hours work well for family time, but the evening dining atmosphere will definitely appeal more to adults for date night, a “girls night”, or a company party or gathering.

Churrascaria Plataforma Steakhouse is located in Hell’s Kitchen, and right next to the Theater District, so there’s a lot to see and experience in the neighborhood. It’s only a few blocks from the Times Square area and about a 5-minute walk to several Broadway theaters. Also, if there’s a long wait before you can dine at the restaurant, you may want to grab a seat while taking in the action in Times Square at the “Red Steps” near the TKTS booth. And if there happens to be a theater fan or budding actor in your dinner party, this restaurant is only a few blocks from the Drama Book Shop, and four blocks from The Museum of Broadway.
