5 Restaurants In New York With The Most Amazing Dockside Dining

There is no shortage of options for waterfront dining in New York. All across this great state, there are amazing bodies of water and then, inevitably, great places to eat while you look out at those amazing bodies of water. We could spend all day telling you about the best dockside dining in New York, but here are five of our favorites.

1. Harpoon Eddie's - Sylvan Beach

Located on Oneida Lake, Harpoon Eddie's has been pleasing customers in Sylvan Beach for over 35 years. It's a favorite of locals and tourists alike, and does everything from host volleyball tournaments to a winter snowmobile race that happens directly out front of the restaurant.

2. Pier 701 - Piermont

Mediterranean-inspired food with a great waterfront view is the vibe at Pier 701. It is located in Piermont and looks out at the Hudson River. Their menu changes seasonally, so make sure to make a return trip as the weather changes.

3. The Lake George Boardwalk Restaurant and Marina - Lake George

You are guaranteed a great view at The Lake George Boardwalk Restaurant and Marina. It looks out at—what else—Lake George, and it is the perfect location for either a casual lunch or a more formal dinner.

4. The Basin Grill - Schuylerville

Seafood and steak are the name of the game at The Basin Grill. It provides both indoor and outdoor dining, but you are probably going to want sit outside and take in a great view of the Hudson River.

5. Pier 66 Maritime - New York City

Waterfront dining in New York City is plentiful. Pier 66 Maritime is not just a great place to get a bite to eat by the water, it is also the home of the Lightship Frying Pan, a historic rail float bridge. It's an excellent way to learn a bit about NYC's nautical history, all while tucking into some great fish and chips.
