There are people who mistakenly believe that the best way to take in water views is by being near the ocean. But, Waterhouse Restaurant in Peterborough disproves that theory in a big way.

The restaurant is located right next to the Nubanusit Brook.

And if you're lucky enough to get a table by the windows your views will make it feel like you're actually ON the waterway.

Looking out the window is especially wonderful in the spring and summer, but fall also offers some unbeatable foliage.

But offering great water views isn't the only thing we love about this place. The food is also pretty special.

Inspired by the local Monadnock area, the food here is sourced locally as much as possible.

Which makes dishes like this half roasted chicken, purple potato hash, and veggies feel even more fresh.

They even have their own in-house bakery, The Baker’s Station, which creates delicious focaccia, burger buns, and amazing desserts.

The drinks here are refreshing and unique so if you plan on drinking be ready to try something new!

Most of all, Waterhouse is relaxing. We love the vibes and the sounds from the brook. Dining outside here is a must.

And at night, things get extra special. This is a wonderful place to come to celebrate a special occasion.

Waterhouse Restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Friday and Saturday they're open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. They're closed on Monday.
