During the Prohibition era of the early 20th century, long before I was around, the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution made it illegal to sell, manufacture, or transport alcoholic beverages throughout the country. Americans, however, were shrewd, and illicit establishments soon sprung up in order to keep the booze flowing. This tradition lives on at one hidden speakeasy in New Hampshire that not only presents itself from the outside as something different but is also a wonderful setting for a get-together with that special someone.
