When we're hungry we tend to gravitate to the foods that both fill us and comfort us. This is especially true when the weather changes from sunny to rainy or even snowy. Hearty meals made with love are exactly what we need at times like those and we've found it at this authentic little spot in New Hampshire.

Bavaria German Restaurant in Hooksett offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a traditional German meal without ever getting on a plane. The restaurant is owned and run by Anton and Monika Berger who owned a 200-seat restaurant and 600-seat beer garden in Munich. They definitely know what they're doing!

Inside the space is light and airy, offering plenty of space for tables. Right now you'll find them situated at a safe distance and the decor feels like you're dining in a family member's home.

The homemade Käse Spätzle, which is a wonderful dish with egg noodles, can't be missed.

One of the restaurant's most popular dishes is the Schnitzel a la München. This is a lean boneless piece of pork with a layer of horseradish which is then coated in bread crumbs.

Then, if you can possibly fit anything else, you'll want to order dessert. The Pfannkuchen is a must-order. This fresh-baked thin pancake is filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The perfect ending to a meal that you probably won't want to end!

Bavaria German Restaurant is open Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 pm.m and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can learn more about them and see the menu by visiting their website.
