It's that time again! Fall is just about here in the Granite State and we're really starting to get into the groove around here. Cozy sweatshirts and boots have been the go-to uniform and weekend trips have turned from beach outings to orchard visits. The more we ease into autumn, the more we're looking for apple and pumpkin everything with a side of cider. And one of the best takes on cider is from White Mountain Cider Company.
The White Mountain Cider Co. is located in Glen and offers one of the best meals you can have in the area. The restaurant is owned by Teresa and Scott Stearns, both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America.
It's housed in an 1800s farmhouse where they serve home cooked meals made with seasonal ingredients.
Each menu item is unique and plated beautifully. And if you're looking for cozy fall meals, this is certainly where you'll find them!
And the desserts are exactly what you'd expect of a place with "cider' in the name. Look at this cider donut creation!
We love the restaurant, but the market is a favorite feature! This is where you can grab fresh-baked treats, coffee and lots of different meals to-go.
This is also the building where you'll find the cider mill.
From mid-September through early December they're churning out the best cider in the area.
But, more importantly, they turn some of this cider into frozen cider slushies!
This concoction is one part beverage and one part deliciously sweet dessert and it's the perfect addition to fall in New Hampshire.
Check it out when the market is open from Thursday to Monday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note that they close at 3 p.m. on Sundays so you'll want to grab your slushies early!
