Welcome to Lee's Chicken Restaurant - a Lincoln, Nebraska icon that's been serving delicious chicken since 1945.
You'll find Lee's at 1940 W Van Dorn St., Lincoln, NE 68522.
Lee's is not a fancy place. In fact, it hasn't changed much since it opened decades ago. It's the kind of place where you'll feel right at home, and the folks here treat you like you're family.
This place fills right up on the weekend, and you'll soon see why.
The chicken dinners are the star of the show at Lee's. They've been making perfectly juicy fried chicken for more than 70 years, and they've perfected it.
The chicken is prepared from a secret family recipe that comes from Louisiana - the original owner's home. Current owners, Ozzie & Janice Wilcoxen, have been operating Lee's since 1969, and use the same tried-and-true recipe.
You have three choices for chicken dinners here: the two-piece dinner with one side, the three piece dinner with one side, or the three piece with two sides. Homemade side dishes include macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, potato salad, coleslaw, fries, soup of the day, green beans, buttered corn, and hash browns.
You wouldn't skip dessert at Grandma's house, so why skip it here? The strawberry shortcake is legendary...
...and the oatmeal pie is the house specialty.
A visit to Lee's Chicken Restaurant soon is like going to Grandma's for a tasty chicken dinner- but no one has to do the dishes later. Stop by Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.. The restaurant is closed on Monday.
