Come See Why Vizsla Brewing Was Named Montana’s 2019 Brewery Of The Year
Vizsla Brewing in Havre, Montana, has quickly become a top brewery, winning multiple awards since its opening in 2018.
Montana's craft beer scene is certainly having a moment. While you might think the Treasure State's top brewery might be found in Missoula, Bozeman or Billings, it is, in fact, Havre that is home to 2019's Brewery of the Year. And if you're a beer drinker, why you should check out Vizsla Brewing as soon as possible.
Vizsla Brewing is new to the scene, although you might see them at beer festivals and events near you.
The brewery officially opened in the fall of 2018 in the Holiday Village Mall in Havre.
Viszla Brewing is owned by a husband and wife team, Raymond Miller and Maria Naranjo.
They may be new, but it's clear they know their brews. Viszla beers are already winning awards left and right, and it seems Montanans can't get enough.
The little taproom in Havre always has at least eight beers on tap at all times, featuring the seasonal specials.
And considering their brew has won three gold medals and a silver medal this year, it's safe to say it's the good stuff.
The taproom in Havre is warm, welcoming, and family-friendly.
They also have card games, shuffleboard, and plenty of TVs to watch whatever game is one when you visit.
Over the summer, Viszla won the acclaimed Brewery of the Year trophy at the Montana Brew Fest.
This award is given to the brewery with the highest cumulative score for all beers and ciders submitted. Needless to say, it's a huge honor for a brewing company that didn't even exist two years ago.
Come to the taproom and you just might see live music or comedic performances.
The team is also always collaborating with local area food vendors on a monthly basis, so you'll have some tasty food to pair with your beer.
Vizsla Brewing is open daily, although hours vary.
Visit on Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or on Friday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
Have you tried a beer from Vizsla yet? Perhaps we should add Vizsla to our Montana Brewery Trail.
