This New Montana Restaurant, Sophie’s Kitchen, Serves Old-Fashioned Comfort Food At Its Finest

It's always exciting when a new restaurant opens in town, but it's also nice to enjoy a plate of good old-fashioned Montana comfort food. But if you happen to be dining at Sophie's Kitchen in Bellevue, you can have a little taste of both. This shiny new restaurant serves some seriously tasty meals.

Sophie's Kitchen is located in the Shiloh Commons apartment building in Billings.

The restaurant opened in November of 2019, much to everyone's delight.

Sophie's Kitchen is named after the grandmother of the owner, Stacey Hettinger.

The place is co-owned by Stacey's nephew, Dylan Brumwell. Both of them grew up in Montana, although both have spent time in Seattle working on their restaurant career.

The menu at Sophie's Kitchen consists of hearty breakfast and brunch options and a series of small plates and seasonal fares for dinner.

The goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment, just like their Grammy Sophie always did.

The food here can best be described as upscale comfort food, and it's absolutely delicious.

The meals are all made with the highest quality ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. And they serve beer, wine, and bubbles to enjoy with it.

The restaurant also serves weekly and seasonal dinner specials, some of which are quite creative.

But there are always plenty of traditional options as well, like steak and fingerling potatoes and The 149 Burger (pictured here).

Just like having a meal at Grandma's house, there are a few house rules here.

But don't worry, the team just wants you to treat everyone with respect, leave outside food and drink outside, and have a wonderful dining experience.

Sophie's Kitchen is open every day but Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Wednesday through Saturday, they close at 9 p.m., and on Sundays and Mondays, they wrap things up at 3 p.m.
