Montana has 56 counties, each filled with a combination of towns, small towns, and even smaller towns. Of course, there are some larger cities thrown into the mix. But, without a doubt, the small towns make up the quintessential Montana feel we all love. Within these towns is a mix of outdoor activities, cultural spots, and restaurants. We recommend exploring everything, but our first stop when visiting a new place is always a local spot to eat. This restaurant in Red Lodge, Montana is a great example!
You'll find The Wild Table on Broadway Ave N, right in the heart of town. If you're not local, the building will make you feel like you've stepped into the most quintessential Montana small town.
Like so many things in Montana, the inside of The Wild Table is unfussy and simple. There's quite a bit of natural light and it's generally easy to find a place to sit and enjoy your meal.
And, what a meal it will be! They offer locally-sourced, seasonal dishes from breakfast through lunch.
This little restaurant in Red Lodge, Montana also offers fantastic treats to eat in or take away.
The bistro menu offers unique items such as the British Fry Up featuring bacon, sausage, confit tomato, eggs, and beans. The entire meal is baked and served in a skillet with toast, making it extra special.
We also love the Montana Lox, which includes smoked trout along with a bagel, tomato, onion, sprouts, dill cream cheese, and a hard-boiled egg.
Lunch includes a variety of soups, sandwiches, and salads.
In addition to the seasonal menu, The Wild Table also offers catering and special items such as Thanksgiving pies.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or need them to cater your wedding, this little spot in Red Lodge is a great option for some of the best food in Montana.
The Wild Table is open year-round on specific days throughout the week. Typically they close one day a week for catering and classes. To plan your visit properly be sure to check out The Wild Table website. You can also follow The Wild Table on Facebook. They can be reached at 406-446-0226.
If you're not lucky enough to call Red Lodge home, you'll definitely want to plan a long weekend for a visit. I love the idea of a vacation rental that lets you feel like a local.
