This Rustic Steakhouse In Montana Is A Carnivore’s Dream Come True

The Cattle Baron Supper Club in Babb, Montana, is renowned for its exceptional steaks and inviting atmosphere.

Montanans love their meat, so it comes as no surprise that we've got hundreds and hundreds of savory steakhouses, ranging from the famous Sir Scott's Oasis to the elusive Grizzly Bar. But there's one rustic steakhouse in the rural (and we do mean rural) town of Babb with steak so good, it's been receiving national attention for years.

The Cattle Baron Supper Club is located on Highway 89 in Babb.

Babb has a population of less than 200, and the local businesses are all owned by two families.

The steakhouse opened in 1986, offering a nice, relaxing space compared to the neighboring Babb Bar.

The Babb Bar was once named the second rowdiest bar in America, so the owner, Bob Burns, decided to open the steakhouse to slow things down.

The interior is cozy, rustic and inviting...

... and the steak dinners are absolutely incredible.

Many visitors have declared them the best steaks they've ever had.

These savory steaks have garnered national attention.

They've earned mentions from both New York Magazine and Maxim, the latter of which awarded them the "Fastest-disappearing steaks" in a 2009 issue.

And while the steaks are what bring people in, most agree that the atmosphere is just as inviting.

The staff is friendly, the drinks are stiff, and the wine list is exceptional. Also, it's family-friendly.

You can even get some steakhouse swag.

You might want a shirt to commemorate the best steak of your life.
