I love the idea of enjoying a different Montana restaurant every day of the week. Unfortunately, that's not the most financially responsible move. Luckily, I also enjoy cooking! Sharing a home-cooked meal with friends and family is one of the best ways to connect. You'll find the best of both worlds with a visit to today's featured restaurant. Located in Helena, it focuses on the feeling of good, home-cooked food with fresh ingredients whenever possible. It might just be the best locally-sourced restaurant in Montana.
The Hopper Kitchen & Market, located on N. Last Chance Gulch in Helena, Montana, offers fresh and filling food with tons of variety.
From the outside, with its warm lights, the restaurant and market are inviting. This is especially true in the winter! Inside, the space feels light, airy, and ... well, fresh! Just like the food.
This locally-sourced restaurant in Montana opened in 2022 and is run by owners Dan and Chelsi Bay. With Montana roots, the local love can be felt in every bite.
The menu is incredibly diverse, with everything from salads to tacos to sandwiches and desserts.
The food here is made from scratch, using ingredients sourced locally as much as possible. We love that the menu is diverse, but that the Montana-feel can be found in every dish.
Each ingredient is intentionally chosen, which explains why the descriptions are so exciting. For example, take a look at the Roast Beast which features house-roasted Montana grass-finished beef, pepperoncini aioli, roasted peppers, and melted mozzarella. It's served on parmesan-crusted Texas toast.
In addition to the restaurant, there's also a market here. Stop in to grab something to go or just browse around to check out the fun products.
Whether you take home a freshly made salad or just a bar of chocolate, this is a spot you'll want to visit whether you're hungry or just curious.
The Hopper Kitchen & Market is open throughout the year with hours that vary by day throughout the week. For the most current information, be sure to check out The Hopper website. You can also follow The Hopper Kitchen & Market on Facebook. They can be reached at 406-457-5544.
While you're in Helena, make sure to pay a visit to the city's massive indoor adventure park! It's great for kids, but we have a feeling adults will love it here, too.
