Sip Award-Winning Wine In The Flathead Valley At Glacier Sun Winery In Montana
Glacier Sun Winery in Kalispell, Montana, offers a unique wine-tasting experience with a variety of wines and local events.
Montana's craft beer scene continues to receive national attention, and for good reason - there's no brew like a Big Sky Country brew. However, over the last decade, a charming little winery in the Flathead Valley has cultivated quite a cult following, both among locals and visitors from out of state. If you have yet to experience Glacier Sun Winery, it's time to take a trip to Kalispell.
Glacier Sun Winery was established in 2011, serving as the Flathead Valley’s premier full-production winery.
Using grapes from Eastern Washington, the team here creates delightful red, wine, fruit, and dessert wines.
The tasting room is located in downtown Kalispell, where it stays popular all year long.
It's open seven days a week from noon until 8 p.m., which are pretty convenient hours.
Wine tasting flights are only $6, and you can create your own lineup by choosing any four wines or hard ciders.
Reservations are accepted, although typically you won't need to make one.
On Saturday, the winery serves its famous sangria...
...and more often than not, you can catch some live music on Sangria Saturday.
This place loves to showcase local talent, and we certainly have plenty of it.
In the summertime, you can sip and swirl your vino under the sun on the patio.
Fortunately, events are back in full swing here. In addition to Sangria Saturday, guests can enjoy Growler Fill Friday and an open mic night once a month.
And, of course, this is the best place in the Flathead Valley to grab a bottle of wine to-go.
Glacier Sun Winery is famous for its Huckleberry Peach wine, but the more traditional whites and reds are also delicious.
