It's no secret that we have come to love our craft beer scene here in Montana. There must be something in our (perfect) water, because Montana brews simply taste better than the rest. And if you love both beer and dogs, you'll be thrilled to know that the Treasure State has a few excellent dog-friendly breweries.

But it's rare that you'll find fantastic beer, delicious food, and a dog-friendly beer garden all in one setting. Fortunately, Bonsai Brewing Project just opened up for the season, and it has all three.

Bonsai Brewing Project is located in Whitefish, and it's a favorite hangout for both locals and tourists.

Bonsai shuts down for the winter, but it's open from mid-March until late fall.

Believe it or not, this small craft brewery is capable of producing over 500 barrels per year.

The focus here is on high-quality small-batch beers, and they're incredible.

You can drink and dine indoors—but if the weather is right, you'll have a lot more fun in the outdoor beer garden.

This is the place to come enjoy the company of your family and friends with some seriously delicious libations.

Bonsai Brewing Project isn't just a brewery and tap house. There's a kitchen, and the food is delicious.

The Soul Bowls are especially popular. This is a Poke Bowl made with sushi-grade Ahi. The Brewer's Gumbo is another favorite.

Of course, sometimes all you need in your life (aside from a cold beer and the warm sun) are some tasty tacos.

Choose from adobo chicken, pork carnitas, and sweet potato. They're all perfection.

Did we mention this place is incredibly dog-friendly?

Dogs are not only allowed in the beer garden, they're welcome and encouraged to come play.

Our pups aren't usually very happy when we leave them behind. At Bonsai Brewing Project, that won't be an issue.
