When the going gets tough, the tough get hungry! When that happens, there's certainly no better way to satisfy a craving than with some Montana comfort food. You can whip up a batch of something delicious at home. Or, you can make your way to a surprising spot to find the best comfort food in Montana. In addition to the best gas station food in Montana, you can also fill up your gas tank, snag a few souvenirs, and take in some beautiful scenery. What could be better? Welcome to St. Regis Travel Center.
The St. Regis Travel Center offers what you might expect of a rest stop off the side of the road. Travelers can get gasoline, packaged snacks, and maps. But, it also offers a little something extra.
To find it, wind your way past the fish tank, the clothing racks, and the huckleberry products, and head straight for Huck's Grill!
This little restaurant is a favorite among those who travel this route of I-90 in the northwest part of the state.
In fact, some say that the best comfort food in Montana can be found here and we'd have to agree. The homemade dishes taste just like mom might make, including the fresh-from-the-oven huckleberry pies.
The desserts are worth the stop all on their own.
But the menu also includes plenty of savory things to fill you up no matter how many more miles you have on your journey. Get a burger, sandwich, or salad to fuel you.
And, of course, you must remember the fries on the side.
But, of all the items on the menu, it's the shakes that have people making this a destination rather than just a stop. They're some of the best in the state!
Stop in for dessert, a shake, or a whole meal and you'll be reminded of your favorite home-cooked meals. Of course, if you're in a hurry, you can also just grab something and head back out on the road. Either way, you're covered!
Huck's Grill at the St. Regis Travel Center is open throughout the year serving up the best comfort food in Montana. To plan your visit, be sure to check out the St. Regis Travel Center website. You can also follow Huck's Grill on Facebook. While in St. Regis, consider checking out the great flea market that calls the small town home.
