The Patio Of 406 Kitchen & Taproom Is The Only Place To Be On A Montana Summer Day

Billings is Montana's largest city. But until recently, it wasn't exactly known for its trendy bars and eateries. But the dining scene in Billings has really come a long way, thanks in part to 406 Kitchen & Taproom. 406 Kitchen & Taproom is located at 1233 N 27th St. in Billings.

The restaurant opened in 2016, earning instant popularity.

406 Kitchen & Taproom was started by Jake Brosovich and Brittainy Doucette, a brother and sister duo that purchased the business from their late mother, Carol.

Jake and Brittainy instantly set out to modernize the space by making as many updates as possible.

By far, the best part of 406's re-invention is the addition of the rooftop patio.

This sleek, modern rooftop hangout seems like something you'd see in a much larger city.

The building is full of reclaimed wood and steel, giving it a modern industrial look.

And it is, by far, the best place in town to spend a warm summer afternoon when you're hungry or craving a cold one.

The menu here is full of casual American fare like appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches.

They even serve an impressive taco menu with both barbacoa and blackened shrimp.

There's also a rotating seasonal menu here with everything from fish sandwiches to carne asada fries.

Basically, this place will always have some version of whatever you're craving.

406 Kitchen & Taproom is open Monday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. - midnight.

Their delicious brunch is served on Sundays only.
