This Mississippi Restaurant Out In The Boonies Is A Deliciously Fun Place To Have A Meal

A few of Mississippi’s best restaurants are hiding in some pretty rural locales – and that’s exactly the case with Donanelle’s Bar and Grill. The roadside eatery may take a bit of effort to get to, but between the mouthwatering fare and lively atmosphere, it’s well worth it. Take a look:

It’s close to the North Gate of Camp Shelby on the south bound side of the highway.

About a 15-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Hardy Street, the eatery is pretty secluded – but well worth the effort it takes to get to.

The roadside restaurant has been in business since 1990, and in that time has become known for its steaks, ribs, and seafood dishes.

It’s also become known for its quirky atmosphere. Much more laid-back than most steakhouses, the interior of Donanelle’s is plastered with eclectic décor, like street signs…

…and dollar bills. That’s right; it’s tradition for customers to sign and date dollar bills and stick them to the wall.

Worth travelling for, the food is sure to hit the spot, especially the steaks, which are always fresh and prepared on a wood-fire grill.

Not a steak eater? No problem; the menu may not be huge, but it does include a few other tasty options, like seafood and sandwiches.
