Thanks to the Grant House Hotel & Eatery, you have the opportunity. If you're obsessed with all things paranormal, read on about this haunted restaurant.
The Grant House is a hotel and restaurant right on the corner of Highway 61 in Rush City. Its address is 80 West 4th Street.
Built in 1896, this three-story building is full of history. It's even listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
While it is quite old, many don't realize that the current Grant House is actually the second building in this spot. The first, built in 1880 years earlier, burnt to the ground in a terrible fire.
Throughout its early years, the Grant House welcomed visitors and newcomers to the area, which was experiencing rapid growth due to the railroad.
That history is found everywhere you turn in this old building, from the period furnishings to the hundred-year-old architectural details. There is such a sense of the past, in fact, that many believe the building to be haunted.
There have been many reported sightings by both employees and visitors. Its haunted past is so notorious that the Grant House has been formally investigated for paranormal activity. Rumors of strange voices, flickering lights, and floating objects make up the bulk of the claims.
Regardless of what you believe, the Grant House is still known for its excellent food, which you can enjoy in a cozy dining room.
The kitchen shines when it comes to breakfast, serving up all the favorites.
But don't hesitate to go in for any other meal. They serve up breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a fun atmosphere, and you're bound to run into locals and travelers alike.
Go on a nice day, and you can even dine outside!
