Revisit The Glory Days At This 50s-Themed Restaurant In Minnesota
Daddy-O's Cafe in Elk River, Minnesota, offers a nostalgic 1950s-themed dining experience with classic American food.
Though the 1950s ended more than 60 years ago, the era still lives on for many people around the world - even those too young to have experienced the '50s for themselves. Here in Minnesota, one of the best ways to experience eras of the past is to visit a decade-themed restaurant. One of our favorites is a fantastic '50s-themed restaurant that will help you revisit the glory days. Take a look:
Daddy-O's Cafe is a charming spot in Elk River, Minnesota. You'll find it at 709 Main St. NW, Elk River, MN 55330. It's about 35 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
As soon as you pull up, the restaurant's '50s theme will be clear. There's an Elvis in the window!
You'll find Elvis inside, too. He performs all day on the restaurant's small stage. At least, a figure of him does.
The shiny red and chrome, mixed with black and white checkerboard, add to the 1950s effect.
So do the many pieces of '50s-themed artwork on the walls. Everything from cars to movie stars is represented here.
There's even an old-fashioned jukebox!
As for the food, Daddy-O's definitely has 1950s portions! The menu is full of great options, and you'll never walk away hungry.
You can't go wrong with an all-American burger. Go for the California Burger, topped with lettuce and tomato, or the hearty Big Daddy Classic. It has cheese, six slices of bacon, lettuce, and tomato over two patties!
Other sandwich options are great, too. Try a chicken sandwich, a BLT, or even a special grilled cheese called the Big Bopper. Each is served with perfectly crisp fries.
Other great options include salads, wings, and a steak dinner. There's even an entire menu of Mexican-inspired meals.
Whatever you get, Daddy-O's is sure to be a trip back in time. You'll love this charming '50s-themed restaurant for its food as well as its retro vibe.
