This Seafood Feast On The Beach In Maine Is What Summer Dreams Are Made Of

Experience a memorable seafood bake on Cabbage Island in Maine, featuring fresh seafood and scenic views.

There's a reason tourists come to Maine in droves. Perhaps it's the beaches, though we all know the water is way too cold for people from away to go swimming. It could be the mountain views from the tops of our hiking summits. We do have some epic views. It could be a lot of things, but something tells us it's actually the seafood. And for good reason! We've got the best around. And if you're going to eat the best seafood, you might as well do it in the best environment. Like this outdoor seafood bake on the beach in Maine!

For more than 50 years, Cabbage Island Clambakes has been allowing both Mainer and those from away to experience two of the best things the state has to offer: seafood and island life!

You'll depart from Pier 6 in Boothbay Harbor for the journey aboard the Bennie Alice.

The boat makes its way through Boothbay Harbor, ultimately coming to Linekin Bay where Cabbage Island sits.

Cabbage Island is a beautiful escape from the mainland. It has 6 acres of pristine beauty, but we think you'll something else most appealing.

Once you arrive on the island, you'll be greeted by the sights and sounds of Maine. At least...Maine's food.

During your boat ride a dedicated team of people have been preparing a feast.

And you can see it, hear it and smell it the moment you walk onto the island.

While the meal is being finished, you're invited to explore the surroundings and the water.

Once the first bell rings you'll know it's time to dig into the first course.

Every person gets two Maine lobsters, steamed clams, sweet corn on the cob, an egg, onion and roasted potatoes.

Those thinking this was more of boat ride with the meal as an afterthought will be shocked. You'll be full for hours.

And, of course, there's dessert.

Once the meal is done it's time to board the boat for your trip back to the mainland. If you've chosen a dinner trip, this is when you'll see the classic Maine sunset. And you'll never forget it.

People say this is one of the most memorable parts of their trip to Maine and we think you'll agree.
