Maria's Ristorante in Portland, Maine, offers authentic Italian cuisine with a rich family heritage dating back to 1960.
Has there ever been a better place to eat than right here in Maine? We say no, and that's why we're always on the lookout for spots to recommend to friends and family. There's certainly no shortage of great spots, but we especially love the ones that come with an impressive decades-long heritage. This spot in Portland is a great option!
Sitting in the former location of beloved Espo's you'll find new addition, Maria's Ristorante. But being new to the space doesn't mean they're new to the food scene here in Maine!
Maria's dates back to 1960 when it was opened by Anthony and Madeline Napolitano in Portland.
The eatery recently moved to a new home on Congress Street, but you'll still find the same fantastic menu operated by sons Anthony and Greg Napolitano.
The food here is as authentic as it comes, with traditional dishes that you'll love.
From pasta to seafood to all sorts of meat, there's definitely something for everyone here.
This is such a strong family business that today you'll even find the grandchildren learning the ins and outs of the business.
In addition to appetizers and main courses, we love their desserts. You won't want to pass them up.
Maria's has been a fantastic place to dine in Portland for over 60 years and we can't wait to see it keep thriving under the Napolitano name for another 160!
