You're hungry. You want something quick. What better option than a sandwich? You can never go wrong with a sandwich and here in Maine we've got some pretty great options. Skip the fancy meals, the complicated recipes and head out to these places for the best sandwich options in Vacationland!

1. The Egg and Pickle Sandwich / Tandem Coffee + Bakery, Portland

2. The Stuffed Bird Panini / Saco Island Deli, Saco

There's no real guarantee you'll be able to get it, but if you love sandwiches you're going to want to try the Stuffed Bird Panini. 3. The Fried Oyster Bo' Boy / Po'Boys & Pickles, Portland

4. The Big Top / The Big Top Deli, Brunswick

This circus-themed deli has a huge selection for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Come here for the Big Top's namesake sandwich, which is pictured here. We also love the highly recommended Trailblazer, Oliphant or Egress. Visit them at: 70 Maine St, Brunswick / (207) 721-8900

5. The Reubenesque / 'Wich, Please

So, we have to be honest. Our favorite is The Reubenesque, which is exactly what it sounds like: sort of a Reuben, but vegetarian. However, we weren't able to get a photo of that beauty. 6. The Steak Bomb / Bennett's Sandwich Shop, Kennebunk

7. The Italian / Amato's, Various

It might be one of the more well-known on this list, but we still think the classic Maine Italian deserves a place on this best sandwich list! Visit them all over the state of Maine!
