You'll find it in the Carrollton neighborhood of New Orleans at 8234 Oak St, right next door to the Maple Leaf Bar.

At the helm of this interesting ship is Jacques Leonardi, who decided to open this restaurant after buying the building in 1996.

Jacques had earned his chops in the kitchen of Paul Prudhomme and has become a hallmark of the restaurant ever since. His outgoing personality can be spotted at the restaurant day after day.

After waiting in line for a long period of time, you'll finally be taken to your table, where a sweet and funny waitstaff will be there to greet you.

They pool tips at this restaurant, making it easy to flag down staff at any point and get the service you need.

The interior of the restaurant is covered in both framed paintings as well as beautiful murals.

This tree mural is my absolute favorite. I just think it's so beautiful.

The food of course! Their creative dishes will completely blow your mind. The sausage and alligator cheesecake is legendary and delicious.

Another amazing dish that is truly unique is the fried roast beef po-boy.

I don't know how they deep fry this, but it's totally delicious.

And then...this seasonal dish...the soft shell po-boy called "Godzilla Meets Fried Green Tomato".

There's no other way to enjoy a softshell crab in my mind.

This beloved restaurant has become so popular, there have been many beautiful paintings depicting the often vibrant scene outside of the restaurant.

It just shows how much people really love this community spot for good times and great food.
