In Louisiana, there is one meal that will put a smile on just about everyone's face: boiled crawfish. And if you want to sit down to a heavenly crawfish boil, look no further than Hawk's Crawfish outside of Rayne, LA. Of course, you'll have to do some driving. When the road the restaurant is on is named after the restaurant, you know you're at a remote restaurant in Louisiana...a million miles away from it all.
Hawk's has been the place to get amazing boiled crawfish since 1983.
This Louisiana institution can be a little difficult to find, however.
Truly in the middle of nowhere, you'll find it at 416 Hawk's Rd., outside of Rayne, LA.
Who knows why it's so out there—but I do think it puts them in the perfect spot to get fresh crawfish.
Once you get there, though, you will be greeted by the friendliest faces.
And of course, the crawfish pots will be all on fire.
They truly have the world's best boiled crawfish.
