The Whole Family Could Spend An Entire Day Having A Blast At The Anchor In Louisiana

Madisonville has a special place in my heart. I grew up in Covington and was in the era when driving through Madisonville was considered the scenic route (especially if you caught the bridge). I still find myself driving around Madisonville from time to time, especially Water Street and Main Street. I can’t pass up an opportunity to enjoy the Tchefuncte River! Speaking of the river, The Anchor has a stunning view of it and it might be one of the most family-friendly restaurants in Louisiana. Let’s check it out:

The Anchor is a casual, family-friendly restaurant in Madisonville with beautiful views of the Tchefuncte River.

You can arrive by car or dock your boat in one of the slips.

The open-air deck is the perfect spot to grab some drinks with friends and watch the boats pass by.

Not a bad place to watch the sunset, either!

The menu at The Anchor covers all the bases.

Whether you're in the mood for seafood or BBQ, they do it all!

You’ll also find plenty of adult beverages, too.

The Anchor has some of the best frozen daiquiris in town and they are always rotating seasonal flavors.

The Anchor is more than a restaurant. There’s always something to look forward to, including live music, special events, and watching sports games on the big screens.

Check out the calendar to see what’s on the horizon.

The Anchor is one of the most family-friendly restaurants in Louisiana. How often do you see a full playground at a restaurant?

And it's pirate-themed!

From the food to the views and the playground, it's easy to see why The Anchor is quickly becoming one of the most popular restaurants in St. Tammany Parish.

Have you swung by yet?

Visit the website for The Anchor to learn more, and be sure to follow The Anchor on Facebook so you don't miss out on the latest specials, upcoming events, or live music announcements coming from one of the most family-friendly restaurants in Louisiana.

While you're in the area, check out one of my favorite state parks. It may be one of the smallest state parks in Louisiana, but it's big on scenery and history! If you're looking for places to stay in Madisonville, you can't top this waterfront Airbnb.
