The restaurant was established in 2007, but the building is much older.

The building dates back to 1788, making it one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter.

Originally known as the Original Pierre Maspero’s Slave Exchange, the building has been a slave exchange, coffee house, and a meeting place for many historical figures.

In the early 1800s, the building was used as a meeting place for the legendary pirates, Jean and Pierre Lafitte.

They were known to meet up here to plan their smuggling operations. It was also the location where Andrew Jackson met up with the infamous brothers to plan their defense for the Battle of New Orleans.

Today, it’s a popular restaurant for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a delicious meal while surrounded by fascinating history.
