They’ve been open since 1977, making them one of the oldest and longest-running restaurants in Hammond.

Jacmel Inn has a unique menu that seamlessly blends multiple cultures.

The restaurant is named after Jacque de Melo, an Italian pirate. His ship crashed against the rocks in the Caribbean and while hiding out in a hotel, he befriended some Creole-speaking Haitians, who referred to him as Jacmel.

Heavily influenced by Creole, Italian, Caribbean, and Southern flavors, this is one restaurant that will blow your taste buds away.

You truly can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, but the restaurant is best known for their hand-cut steaks and fresh fish specials.
