But alas, the old-school buffets are fewer and far between. The good news is, that a new type of all-you-can-eat restaurant is stepping into the void and providing a unique dining experience - the all-you-can-order restaurant! Instead of a buffet, these restaurants have a menu - you order anything you want, and it comes out fresh from the kitchen. These are most common at Japanese restaurants, and a new spot for all-you-can-eat sushi in Iowa just opened in Clive. Izumi Sushi & Hibachi is the second location of a popular Cedar Rapids restaurant, and its delicious food and unique theme are quickly putting the place on the map.

Just opened in Clive, Izumi is spinning out of a popular Cedar Rapids all-you-can-eat sushi joint - and the new location is out of this world.

That's partially because of the unique sci-fi accented theme, which greets you as soon as you walk in.

You'll be dining under the stars here - certainly a first for a sushi restaurant.

The style of dining is the same - you can order a la carte, or if you choose the all-you-can-eat option, you'll be given a menu sheet. Just check off what you want in each round of dining!

The sushi is the headliner here, featuring dozens of varieties of sushi and rolls.

If you want a heartier meal, the noodle soups are prepared in perfect portions to leave you room for other dishes.

And my favorite at places like this is always the hibachi - intensely flavored, grilled meat and seafood served with vegetables and rice.
