In business since 2017, Honeysuckle Hill Bee-stro in west-central Indiana is a family-owned restaurant that is known for its vintage charm and tried-and-true recipes that rotate with the seasons.
From the decor to the food, everything here will have you feeling like you're in Grandma's kitchen. A quirky mix of tables and chairs makes this a charming place to have a meal any day.
The space is cozy with bright walls and many cheery hangings to admire while you wait for your food to appear. You might actually feel like you're inside a beehive.
The most unique thing about this restaurant is that it makes all its food from scratch and about one-third of the items on the menu are infused with honey, such as this honey cake, which has to soak overnight.
Other desserts include the peanut butter pie, chocolate bourbon pecan pie, pumpkin ice cream, and honey graham cracker ice cream.
The rotating menu often includes savory items such as fried chicken, pork and/or beef tenderloin, pasta, and salads with dressings infused with honey.
There are also a slew of incredible sides that come with each meal. The honey in each dish is retrieved from the on-site bee-farm, which guests can see from the windows as they enjoy their meals.
