You'll know you're at one of the most fun seafood shacks in Delaware as soon as you pull in.

The restaurant is decked out with quirky sea-themed decorations. The gigantic mermaid on the wall inside is a favorite of mine!

Inside, you'll find more eccentric decorations, and the traditional seafood scene.

Paper on the tables helps keep the messes contained, and the bright colors help to remind you that when you're at the beach, you're on vacation.

The views may not be oceanside, but the marsh-facing restaurant catches some incredible sunsets.

Every table in the place has a great view of the beautiful inland marshes. They'll even lend you binoculars if you want to go birdwatching while you wait for your food.

Start off with an appetizer, like their baby crab cakes.

The menu is full of traditional and off-the-wall dishes, from lobster guac to "shrimpsicles".

Their raw bar really stands out among many other Fenwick area restaurants.

You can get delicious mussels, littleneck clams, or mouthwatering Chesapeake oysters.

They might make the best lobster roll in Delaware! You really can't beat it - some say it's as good as lobster rolls they've had in Maine.

The Lobster Shanty's lobster bloody mary is famous throughout the beaches for being one of the best around. They also make a delicious, fruity sangria.

Twining's Lobster Shanty is open Thursday-Sunday from 11:30 am - 9 pm. They'll be closed for the holidays from December 17th-26th, but they open again for one last visit from Wednesday, December 27th until January 1st. After January 1st, you'll have to wait until March 14 to enjoy a meal here. It's worth the wait, though - you know that your seafood is coming in fresh!
