The Beloved Connecticut Brewery That’s Also Super Family Friendly

When you're trying to think of places to take the kids out for the day, a brewery in Connecticut may not be the first thing to come to mind. But actually, many breweries provide great opportunities for all-ages fun! There are great outdoor areas, live music and festivals, food trucks, non-alcoholic drinks, and just a general all-around good time. One spot that we love for family friendly fun is Alvarium Brewing. There's tons of delicious beer on tap for the grown-ups, but the kids won't be bored here, either!

Alvarium is Latin for "beehive," and if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll notice a bee-themed motif throughout the decor.

There are a variety of beers on tap here. From ales to IPAs to stouts, Alvarium has it all. There are even wacky flavors like blueberry donut and fruity juicebox varieties.

The taproom connects directly to the production floor, so you can peer right in on the beer as it's being made.

Drink a flight or beer at the brewery, or grab some to take home - your choice. There are, of course, non-alcoholic drinks available for the kiddos!

There are typically food trucks on site so you can grab a bite to eat and support even more local businesses.

If the weather's nice, dine out on the beautiful patio!

There are several games in the taproom just waiting for visitors to enjoy.

The inside and outside of the brewery are dog-friendly, so there are usually some friendly dogs around to pet!
