Dine for Less Than $15 a Person at This Iconic Hot Dog Stand in Colorado
If you love hot dogs and deals, then you'll love Harley's A Hot Dog Revolution in Littleton, Colorado.
The best hot dogs in Denver metro are not in Denver proper. There are several great hot dog spots in the city, but if you're looking for the very best in the area, then you're going to head on down to a strip mall in Littleton! Harley's: A Hot Dog Revolution is waiting for you there, and you're going to love everything that this place offers.
This family-owned and operated spot got its start in 2013 and it has been going strong ever since. Owner Ed Ginsburg first opened Harley's in Southwest Plaza Mall to see how his concept would be received, and it was such a hit that he soon moved it into its own storefront in the Woodlawn Center strip mall on West Littleton Boulevard. It's been there ever since and it continues to be very successful. People love the atmosphere, the hot dogs, and interacting with Ed himself. The service and food at Harley's are great, and once you visit this hot dog spot once, you'll surely want to return time and time again.
Harley's: A Hot Dog Revolution receives top ratings on all restaurant rating platforms and it's easy to see why. Many visitors have reported that the hot dog they ate at Harley's was the best hot dog that they've ever had! That claim sounds incredible, but the fact that Harley's offers a wide variety of hot dogs with creative and mouthwatering toppings means that this spot has a hot dog on the menu that's perfect for every palate.
And, not only are the concoctions created by Harley's spectacular, the fact that they're all made with high-quality, gourmet dogs and super fresh toppings makes all the difference. Furthermore, Ginsburg does what he can to offer healthy options without sacrificing taste. He takes great care to keep the fat content low across the board so his patrons can enjoy his dogs guilt-free.
The menu at Harley's has over a dozen different hot dogs from which to choose. Of course, if you just want a plain old hot dog, or chorizo, Polish sausage, andouille sausage, or bratwurst on a bun, you can certainly order any of those. However, we recommend you try one of the hot dog creations with toppings that Harley's offers.
Some of Harley's offerings are expected. The Windy City Dog is a typical Chicago dog with tomato, peppers, relish, celery salt, onion, and pickles. The New York Pastrami Dog is a hot dog with German mustard, pastrami, and a pickle, and you can add sauerkraut and Swiss if you want (you should!).
After those simple but excellent offerings, though, things start to get a little crazy - and amazing. You might try the BBQ Pork Dog; it's a hot dog topped with homemade BBQ pork and sriracha slaw. Or, you might like the Chili Pie Dog which is a hot dog slathered in chili, jalapeno, melted cheese, and fritos.
Looking for something that leans Italian? The Eddie Spaghetti Dog will fit the bill! This hot dog is an Italian sausage on a garlic-buttered bun smothered in pasta, marinara, and mozzarella. Alternatively, you might like the Peppy Pizza Dog, which includes pepperoni, marinara, and mozzarella on top of Italian sausage on that same garlic-buttered bun. Wow!
If it's an andouille sausage dog that you're craving, take a trip to the south with Harley's N'Orleans Dog; you'll love this sausage topped with sauteed onions and sweet peppers on a toasted everything bun. The Surf n' Turf Dog elevates andouille sausage even further by covering it with deep-fried shrimp, spicy mayo, and green onions.
I'm not personally a fan of spicy foods, but there are plenty of spicy menu options at Harley's for those who love that sort of thing, too. And, if you're not feeling like a hot dog the day you visit (gasp!), then you could also order a burger, a chicken sandwich, a BBQ pork sandwich, or a pastrami sandwich at Harley's instead. They're all great also.
Harley's: A Hot Dog Revolution is a true Littleton and Denver metro gem. There are a lot of people who don't even know that this restaurant exists - and they are really missing out. We highly suggest you head to town to Littleton as soon as you can to feast on Harley's hot dogs. You're going to be glad you found this place, and you're going to want to stop by every time you're in the south Denver 'burbs. Enjoy!
