Three words: Strawberry. Shortcake. Biscuits. (If fresh whipped cream and strawberries aren't your thing, don't worry; DBC also offers a variety of savory options atop their warm, flaky biscuits!)

2. Beau Jo's (Idaho Springs & Other Colorado Locations)

Chicagoans and New Yorkers, take note: The BEST kind of pizza is Colorado-style, complete with a thick crust and honey dipping sauce. YUM!

3. Georgetown Loop Railroad (Clear Creek County)

Looking for a deliciously unique experience? Then hop aboard the Georgetown Loop Railroad for a romantic excursion complete with dinner, wine and a scenic train ride through the stunning mountainside.

4. Crave Real Burgers (Denver & Other Colorado Locations)

A burger with doughnuts for the buns... Yay or nay? How about an English muffin? Belgian waffles? Whichever carb you crave, they've got it!

5. Edelweiss German Restaurant (Colorado Springs)

♪ Edelweiss, Edelweiss; You look delicious to me! ♪ For the BEST German food outside of Germany, you must visit Edelweiss! (I should know; my last name is Sandmeier.)

6. Golden China (Limon)

Please note, Golden China Restaurant has permanently closed.

Who would have thought that the best Chinese food in Colorado would be in the small, eastern plains town of Limon? (It's worth the drive for one taste of their Vietnamese Shrimp Bowl!)

7. Flagstaff House (Boulder)

Come for the amazing views; stay for the award-winning gourmet food and wine.

8. The 10th (Vail)

...because there is no better way to end a butt-busting day on the slopes than with a warm and hearty meal!

9. Bingo Burger (Pueblo)

What burger dreams are made of: Juicy, locally-raised beef; perfectly melted cheese; and unique sauces. B-I-N-G-O is the place to G-O.

10. Juniper Valley Ranch Restaurant (Colorado Springs)

You haven't had a true family-style meal until you've tried Juniper Valley Ranch's skillet fried chicken, riced potatoes, and homemade biscuits with apple butter. One taste and you'll understand why they've been a Colorado favorite since 1951.

11. Rapids Lodge (Grand Lake)

I can't decide which I love more; the lovely 4-course meal or the sounds of the Tonahutu River.

12. Casa Bonita (Lakewood)

I know I give the place a lot of grief, but I still believe everyone should visit Casa Bonita once for the experience. (You're either going to love it or be completely weirded out by the mystery "meat", gorilla man, and Black Bart's Cave.)
