The Timeless Cincinnati Restaurant Everyone Needs To Visit At Least Once

Locals and visitors alike can all agree that Cincinnati is famous for its chili. We've done this classic dish our own way for decades and there are many spots throughout the city to enjoy it. But one particular restaurant has been around since 1940 and thankfully, not much has changed. Camp Washington Chili is a timeless Cincinnati restaurant that everyone needs to visit at least once.

Camp Washington Chili has been satisfying Cincinnati taste buds for more than 75 years now, with no signs of slowing down.

The original location opened in 1940 and was actually right in front of where the current building stands today. Due to a street widening project, the building was torn down, but thankfully a new, vintage-inspired restaurant took its place.

The interior feels just as timeless as you'd expect.

It's laid-back, retro, welcoming, and everything a classic diner should be. Guests range from those who have dined there since it opened to brand new customers, anxious to try their famous menu.

Speaking of the menu, of course, the chili is the star of the show, but that's definitely not all they offer.

Their secret recipe take on Cincinnati chili is served as a 3-Way, in a bowl, on coneys, or really any other way you'd like it.

Breakfast is also a highlight here and is served all day. It's classic choices, lovingly prepared. Definitely don't forget a side of goetta.

Among other favorites, the huge double-decker sandwiches are incredible.

Camp Washington Chili is one of those Cincinnati restaurants that you just have to try at least once.
