Aptly named the Pizza Joint, this unassuming eatery is tucked away inside Stagecoach 66 Motel on Historic Route 66. It has some of the best pizza in Arizona, and the atmosphere is so quirky and charming, you'll never want to leave.

Even if you don't need a place to spend the night, this quirky motel with themed rooms is worth a stop. Why? The food.

The Pizza Joint is the hotel's on-site restaurant, dishing out hand-tossed pizza with dough that's made fresh each day.

It may not look like much on the outside, but after just one taste, you'll understand what all the hype is about.

Upon stepping inside, the red leather booths and black-and-white checkered floors will transport you straight back to the 50s.

There's a decidedly dive-y feel to the atmosphere, but that's part of the charm. Between the old photographs and vintage memorabilia covering the walls, you'll feel like the Mother Road is still in its heyday.

As for the menu, pizza is the star of the show (the restaurant is called The Pizza Joint, after all).

Mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheeses come standard on all of the pizzas. After that, the sky is the limit in terms of toppings! From meats like Italian sausage and pepperoni to veggies such as artichoke hearts and olives, there are so many ways to build the perfect pie.

Feeling indecisive? Opt for one of the specialty pizzas instead - all of the toppings are already picked out.

"The Seligman" has a little bit of everything, with five meats and several different veggies. Vegetarians will love the "Bad Hunter," while the Sicilian pays homage to the country that started it all.
