I Dined Lakeside At the Largest Floating Restaurant in the U.S.
Jádi-Tooh Restaurant, the largest floating restaurant in the U.S. also also the world, is a must when visiting Page, Arizona
A good friend of mine and I decided to take a getaway to Page, Arizona one weekend and quickly checked a few items off our bucket lists. One at the top of mine was a massive floating restaurant at a marina on Lake Powell. Considered the world's largest floating restaurant (although a Google search may point to an establishment in Dubai), Jádi-Tooh Restaurant is a must when visiting Page, Arizona.
I love tourist attractions as much as hidden gems. In fact, I want to experience is all when I travel someplace new! While hidden gems are incredible for the sense of wonder you'll feel along with the lack of crowds, there's a reason why touristy places are as popular as they are.
Now, visiting this popular floating restaurant on Lake Powell, I half-expected it to be a tourist trap. But I was pleasantly surprised that it was anything but. When we arrived in the parking lot of the Antelope Point Marina, it wasn't obvious at first where it was. Using Google Maps, we discovered it was located somewhere past the buildings to our left. To get to the restaurant, we had to walk down the longest, steepest gangway I've ever been on down to the dock and a marina filled with houseboats as far as the eye could see.
Halfway down, we realized we are going to have to walk back up to get back to the car (although we did see plenty of golf carts traveling from the parking lot to the docks, so that was our plan b).
Finally, we arrived at the floating restaurant known as Antelope Point Restaurant and its proper name, Jádí’Tooh, which means "antelope" in Navajo. (And if you didn't know, Lake Powell is located within the Navajo Nation, the largest reservation in the U.S.)
At the time we arrived, there weren't too many people. It's also the off-season, so that may be why as well. We asked to dine outside and were walked through part of the vast dining room out to a table on the patio. So, there we were at the largest floating restaurant on the planet that happens to be on Lake Powell right here in Arizona. And when I tell you this place has the best views, it really does!
We ordered our drinks and an appetizer first. I opted for a prickly pear margarita rimmed with tajin, and it was delicious! I loved sipping my beverage while looking out on the lake. It was relaxing, to say the least.
For our appetizer, we shared a plate of Ahi Poke Nachos. This creative take on nachos had wonton chips in lieu of tortilla chips, and ahi tuna and avocado tossed with chipotle mayo and topped with seaweed salad was the dip. To say I loved it would be an understatement!
My friend ordered a gluten-free cauliflower crust pizza topped with marinara, cheese, chicken, and mushrooms. I am always surprised to find good pizza outside of an Italian restaurant, but here we were — it was so good!
For my main meal, I ordered the Topside Tacos on blue corn tortillas. I am not sure if I enjoyed the tacos or my friend's pizza better. Everything we had here at Jádi-Tooh Restaurant was delicious, and the views were spectacular as well!
I highly recommend exploring all that Page, Arizona, has to offer, including the largest floating restaurant in the U.S., which also happens to be the world's largest floating restaurant. Check out the Antelope Point Lake Powell Marina website for the location, hours of operation, and menu.
For more things to do in Page, make sure you check out the awe-inspiring natural wonder known as Horseshoe Bend and take a tour of Antelope Canyon X, a lesser-known slot canyon! For places to stay, check out Lake Powell Resort, which is located right on the lake.
