Why Dining at Shorebird in Sedona Is an Experience I’ll Repeat Again and Again
With from-scratch cuisine, Shorebird Sedona is a dining experience everyone should have.
Shorebird, an exceptional restaurant that first made waves with its locations in California, is now open in Uptown Sedona. Dining here means you'll have an experience to remember. Its interior is clean and modern, the staff is welcoming, and the food... well, it's undeniably delicious! I was lucky enough to dine at Shorebird Sedona in Arizona, and it's an experience I would love to have again and again.

When I discovered Shorebird was opening in Arizona, I was excited. I heard amazing things about the restaurant from my friends who had dined at the Newport Beach location in California. While I initially thought it would open in Phoenix or Scottsdale, I was pleasantly surprised that Sedona was the chosen location. While some excellent restaurants exist in Sedona, AZ, Shorebird is a much welcome addition.

With its from-scratch cuisine and red rock views from its entryway and large picture windows, Shorebird is a dining experience everyone should have—at least once. That's my opinion, anyway. So, if you're visiting and wondering where to eat in Sedona, try Shorebird, especially if you enjoy seafood and an upscale, yet casual, dining experience.

From sushi to Chilean sea bass, from raw oysters to Maryland lump crab cakes, you'll be as astounded as I was by such fresh seafood in a landlocked state. Chilean sea bass is my favorite fish, so I ordered that—and it did not disappoint! Set on a bed of asparagus risotto with caramelized mushrooms and a tomato and arugula salad, I was in heaven with every bite.

One of my dining companions ordered the Faroe Islands Salmon Mignon, which features salmon medallions on top of a tasty rosemary cauliflower sauce, roasted cauliflower, and honey and garlic-roasted carrots on the side. This dish is an excellent choice for its unique flavor palette.

While Shorebird is undoubtedly known for its seafood, other options may pique your interest. For one, the avocado fries are a crowd favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these "fries" are anything but traditional. Another favorite is the Twice Fried Chicken Wings, made with free-range chicken garnished with watermelon radish, green apple sticks, cilantro, and mint, all set in a garlic crema.

Even if you want to come to Shorebird Sedona for drinks, it's worth it. Next time I'm here, I'll sit at the bar and order a cocktail and the avocado fries. I can't wait. Until next time, Sedona!

Have you dined at Shorebird Sedona in Arizona yet? Between the food, the service, and the location, I would eat here again and again. For location and menu information or to make a reservation, visit the official Shorebird website.
Sedona is a special place that's near and dear to my heart. There's no other place like it in our country. If you plan a getaway to Sedona soon, I recently stayed at the beautiful and luxurious Amara Resort & Spa on Oak Creek in Uptown and would absolutely stay here again. I also suggest taking a tour around town, especially if it's your first time in Sedona. Have fun!
