Enjoy a Cozy Dinner Out at This Award-Winning Restaurant Inside an Arizona Inn
Are you ready for an unforgettable dining experience? If so, plan a visit to LON’s at The Hermosa Inn, a cozy restaurant in Arizona. You'll love the ambiance and the chef's creations!
Elegant, exquisite, equally rustic and charming, and where the “Old West meets modern luxury” is what you’ll find at The Hermosa Inn. The iconic Paradise Valley hacienda-style inn is a gorgeous retreat in Arizona. Surrounded by stunning gardens and artwork, inspired by the famous cowboy artist, Alonzo "Lon" Megargee, this boutique hideaway is one of the most unique places to stay in Arizona. My favorite thing about Hermosa is that it has the perfect balance between luxury and Southwestern charm. And I love that Megargee’s artwork is showcased throughout the inn.
While the inn is beyond spectacular, trust me, that’s not the only reason you’ll want to visit. Inside the hotel is LON’s Restaurant, an award-winning eatery featuring “globally inspired Arizona” cuisine. Named “Arizona’s Most Romantic Restaurant” by Food & Wine Magazine, this cozy restaurant in Arizona is great for an intimate evening.
Nestled at the foothills of Camelback Mountain, this AAA Four Diamond restaurant is not only stunning, but it has received countless accolades. Most importantly, patrons can’t stop raving about the ambiance, the impeccable service, and the curated chef creations. After a recent visit, one patron wrote, “We came for a birthday, and left with an unforgettable experience.”

As soon as you arrive at LON’s, you can’t help but fall in love with the ambiance of the restaurant. Built in the 1930’s, the hacienda-style decor as well as the lush garden exude warmth, and the interior of the restaurant does the same. Though upscale, you’ll find the restaurant quite cozy with its rustic, exposed wood finishes and dim light fixtures that invite its guests to pause to enjoy the surroundings. It’s also great that the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.
Along with the interior dining room, there is a pretty garden patio surrounded by cozy outdoor adobe fireplaces. The lush landscape coupled with views of the mountains exudes romance, so this is the perfect spot for an intimate night out. Moreover, the rustic wine cellar is typically used for private dinners but it’s open to the public for special events in the summer. Whether you would like to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or a special occasion, LON’s is the place to be!
Each plate at LON’s is carefully curated using locally sourced ingredients cooked using traditional techniques. With signature dishes like the Himalayan salt seared ahi tuna, coffee crushed prime zabuton, and the Chilean sea bass, you can’t help but marvel at the chef’s artistic creations. Of course, you can pair your dinner with a signature cocktail or a savory glass of wine.
But your evening doesn’t have to end with dinner. I recommend that you continue the night at LON’s Last Drop, a casual on-site bar that features a small plate menu and serves craft cocktails and local brew. It’s a great place to sit outside and enjoy the stunning, southwestern desert oasis. It’s easy to see why this cozy restaurant in Arizona is one of the top places to dine in the state. You’ll certainly have an unforgettable date night at this hidden gem.
Address: 5532 N Palo Cristi Rd, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253
