The Brewery In Arizona That Features Nostalgic Video Games

I love places that offer a hint of nostalgia. And there's a unique brewery in Arizona that's all about it especially when it comes to video games from our childhood (okay, this may only apply to a few of us, but still). Welcome to 8-Bit Aleworks, a local brewery inspired by video games during the time when 8-bit technology was a big deal.

Have you ever felt like revisiting your childhood to a place that's filled with 8-bit video games but, because you're an adult now, also beer? If you said, "yes," you'll have to make your way to Avondale to visit 8-Bit Aleworks!

With old-school video games that you can play plus video game decor, you may feel as though you are a part of your very own video game. Even the beer this brewery creates is inspired by 8-bit video games. How cool is that?

So, which 8-bit-video-game-inspired brew will it be first? How about the Final Fantasy-inspired White Mage (a wit) or Black Mage (a stout)? And then there's Hopsassin's Creed (you can probably guess the video game inspo behind this one), the Legend of Zymur (a double IPA), and Princess (a peach IPA), just to name a few.

If you want to try several craft brews here, you must order a flight. And just look how its displayed. You'll probably want to play Super Mario Bros. afterward -- I know I would!

My favorite video game as a child was Ms. Pac-Man on the Atari gaming system, and they have it here! I wouldn't mind sipping on a glass of 8-Bit Aleworks' BFC, an oatmeal cookie pie barley wine, as I play.

This brewery also has a rotating selection of beer on tap. And the tap handles are video game controllers!

As a former video game nerd, I absolutely love the 8-bit theme of this unique brewery in Arizona. If you're game on going yourself, the address for 8-Bit Aleworks is 1050 N Fairway Dr. Building F, Suite 101 in Avondale, AZ.

Have you visited this unique brewery in Arizona yet? If so, what brews did you try and did you play any video games? For location and tasting room information, head to the 8-Bit Aleworks website. You can also stay up-to-date with all that's going on at the brewery on the 8-Bit Aleworks Facebook page.
