Even more than a century after the Wright brothers flew the first successful airplane, people are still intrigued at watching them fly into the sky. There’s something fascinating about watching a massive, multi-ton contraption glide into the air and back down with the apparent ease of a svelte bird.
If you enjoy watching planes take off and land, then we know of the perfect restaurant for you to visit!
This is Crosswinds Restaurant, a family-owned eatery located on the north side of Payson with the most convenient location.
It sits right next to the Payson Airport where you get a fantastic view of all kinds of planes coming and going. Typically, you’ll see small aircraft like these.
But occasionally, you’ll get the chance to see some cool historic planes like this!
And the aircraft theme doesn’t stop at the window. Inside, you’ll find miniature planes hanging from the ceiling, photos of planes, and aircraft-themed gifts to take home.
Crosswinds is a great spot to get a traditional American breakfast…
...or a mouthwatering plate for lunch.
Don’t forget to get a slice of pie to round out your meal!
And in the event you don’t get to spot a plane during your visit, you’ll still be treated to a fantastic view of the Mogollon Rim!
Crosswinds Restaurant is located at 800 West Airport Road in Payson. It is open Sunday through Tuesday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and Wednesday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
If you prefer checking out trains, then you will enjoy dining at the Crown Railroad Cafe in Flagstaff. You can read more about it in The Train-Themed Restaurant In Arizona That Will Make You Feel Like A Kid Again.
